The new Blacksteel limited edition features a 45.4 mm steel case sporting a black carbon-based treatment. The standout feature however is Breitling’s patented magnetic pushpiece system. This system, a Breitling exclusive, activates the chronograph controls through the metal of the case, without any direct mechanical contact. This approach circumvents the Achilles heel found in traditional chronograph cases – the holes in the case and the mechanical pusher-movement interface. Breitling’s unique system eliminates the holes, allowing this chronograph to function at extreme depths. This diver’s chronograph is also equipped with a decompression valve and a glareproof sapphire crystal for optimal readability. Breitling’s SuperQuartz caliber provides a level of accuracy ten times superior to that of standard quartz movements. The Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel, issued in a 2,000-piece worldwide limited edition, is priced at $5015 on a black Diver Pro rubber strap, and it is also available on a perforated Ocean Racer strap. Additional technical information appears below the images. Movement: Breitling Caliber 73, thermocompensated SuperQuartz™ movement, officially chronometer-certified by the COSC. 1/10th of a second chronograph, 60-minute and 12-hour totalizers with split times (split-second hand). Calendar. Case: black steel, limited series of 2,000. Water-resistant to 1,000 meters (3,300 ft) with functional pushpieces. Screw-locked crown. Unidirectional ratcheted rotating bezel. Cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. Diameter 45.40 mm. Dial: Volcano black. Straps: Diver Pro or Ocean Racer. __________________ In Rotation: Accutron Spaceview T Case (1970), Tudor Pelagos 25500TN, Glycine Airman 17 Ref:3917.2, Glycine Airman 08 Chrono 7754, Omega Planet Ocean XL, Raymond Weil Nabucco GMT, Citizen Skyhawk JY0000-53E, Breitling Super Avenger A13370, Boschett Cave Dweller WF LE, Lum-Tec M53 Bronze, Uniq GAF44, Maranez Bangla Ti Cali Dial, Bathy's 100 Fathom, Maranez Bangla Ti LE, Ball Engineer Master II Aviator NM1080C-L3-BK, Orient Pro Saturation Diver EL02003W, REC M5 Mark I, Casio Tough Solar, SWAE Veteran, Panzera BREUER B44-01D (Celtic), Hamilton Sunset H62555153, Prometheus Poseidon, Luxmento Naylamp 300m Automatic Blue, Seiko Recraft, Vostok Europe Ekranoplan, Marina Militare, Hamilton Pan Europ Chrono Smartwatches: Samsung Gear 2, Ticwatch 2 back to the top of page   Remove Advertisements Sponsored Links Watch Freeks Advertisement   02-15-2010, 09:13 AM   # 2 (permalink) CurrentTime Senior Member   Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: , , My Photos: View Posts: 7,795 imported post I just read about this on another site. Cool looking watch. It's incredible that you can operate the chrono at great depths. This should come in handy on your next time trials in the Abyss! :lol back to the top of page   03-18-2010, 12:42 AM   # 3 (permalink) TVDinner Senior Member     Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Raleigh, , USA My Photos: View Posts: 25,091 imported post Don't know how I missed this thread but I really like the look of this one. __________________ Current Collection: a Breitling | an Omega | a Tag Heuer | a Seiko | and a G Shock back to the top of page     03-18-2010, 02:02 AM   # 4 (permalink) Cali kid Senior Member     Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Monterey Bay, , My Photos: View Posts: 864 imported post You had me at Breitling!:b __________________ Trevor back to the top of page   03-18-2010, 05:57 AM   # 5 (permalink) sheraortho Senior Member     Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Carmel,IN, , USA My Photos: View Posts: 1,363 imported post That is a real nice looking watch, and I'm not a big fan of black IP. I find it interesting that it's also a quartz and COSC certified. I love the red accents on the dial too. Overall, very nice! __________________ I collect watches, it\'s what I do-Brian back to the top of page   03-18-2010, 07:08 AM   # 6 (permalink) LarryTimeNow Senior Member     Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: , Virginia, USA My Photos: View Posts: 421 imported post I like it, but Quartz!!!!
